Basic Rider’s Course

Learn to Ride The Right Way

Learn to ride the right way, take the Basic Rider’s Course (BRC). Rest assured, our certified RiderCoaches are dedicated to your success. This course is exciting, informative and most enjoyable. The BRC prepares the rider with confidence, and the skills needed to ride safely. Upon succeeding, the rider’s motorcycle endorsement will be sent electronically to the Florida Division of Driver’s License. In addition, receive a discount on motorcycle insurance. Your time is valuable. Therefore, classes are offered nearly every weekend. Choose from a list of course dates.
No riding experience? No worries.  In fact, the BRC was designed for riders with no experience or novice riders. The course covers the fundamentals of becoming a safe and responsible rider. Each student learns the physical and mental skills necessary for operating a motorcycle. Furthermore, students are taught in the classroom as well as on the range. They learn ways to reduce risk and handle special riding situations. In addition, students learn basic control that includes: clutch/throttle control, straight-line riding, turning and shifting. Finally moving on to the more advanced skills to include stopping quickly, cornering and swerving.

The Basic Rider’s Course consists of 10 hours of on-the-range riding. It’s here where our students put their knowledge to work to build skills. The riding skills evaluation (on the range) consists of four exercises that assess limited/space maneuvering skills. These skills include braking, cornering, and swerving competencies.
